The innovation and technology of ARSOFT at the 6th Silver Economy Congress

The Silver Economy Congress 2024, held in Zamora, has once again established itself as a national and international benchmark for analyzing and promoting initiatives to improve people's quality of life. In this context, ARSOFT was proud to participate, showcasing LAIA XR, a revolutionary medical software designed to assist surgeons in their daily work.

For yet another year, the Silver Economy Congress, dedicated to addressing the challenges and opportunities arising in an increasingly aging society, delivered a highly positive outcome thanks to the quality of its content and the impact of the initiatives presented. One of these was LAIA XR, a platform for medical imaging visualization and surgical planning. It provides surgeons with the tools they need to ensure safety and precision during surgical procedures.

During the days of the congress, Zamora became the meeting point for experts, tech companies, institutions, and entrepreneurs who shared their vision of how to improve people's quality of life. Keynotes and panel discussions offered a comprehensive overview of current trends, emphasizing the importance of technology, sustainability, and personalized services in meeting the needs of an ever-evolving population.

Among the presentations at the congress, the talk by Juan Antonio Juanes, professor of Human Anatomy and director of the Visualmed Systems research group at the University of Salamanca, stood out. His intervention focused on how XR technologies (Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality, and Mixed Reality) are revolutionizing education by offering tools that facilitate the study and understanding of human anatomy. He specifically referenced the LAIA XR medical software developed by ARSOFT, highlighting its ease of use and its importance for medical students. LAIA XR provides immersive experiences that enhance the understanding and retention of complex concepts. Through interactive 3D simulations, students can explore the human body in detail, practice procedures, and visualize anatomical structures from different perspectives, fostering a more dynamic and effective learning process. LAIA XR not only enriches medical education but also prepares future professionals for the challenges of modern medicine.

Undoubtedly, the role of new technologies was one of the most recurrent themes at the congress. From wearable devices that monitor health in real-time to virtual reality platforms combating loneliness or keeping seniors mentally and physically active, it became evident that technological innovation is key to improving quality of life.

Thanks to this congress, Zamora once again reaffirmed its role as a leader in the silver economy, highlighting the importance of rural regions in implementing innovative solutions. The connection between human potential, technology, and entrepreneurial creativity was a central theme, underscoring the shared commitment of all attendees to building a more inclusive, healthy, and sustainable future for everyone.

The Silver Economy Congress 2024 not only left participants with enriching insights but also significant challenges to address together.
