On April 29, ARSOFT and the School of Industrial Engineering of the University of Vigo organized a seminar to address the application of XR technologies (Augmented Reality, Virtual Reality and Mixed Reality) in the industry sustainably.
The event, chaired by the director of the School of Industrial Engineering, Juan E. Pardo, brought together renowned experts in this sector such as Santiago González, CEO of ARSOFT, Rodrigo Casarrubios, director of Sonovisión Spain, Álvaro García, head of Industry 4.0 at Cidaut, Miguel Vilar, head of Digital Architecture at Navantia and Alberto Manzano, Account Manager at ARSOFT.
The appointment allowed those present to learn, from the hands of ARSOFT professionals, what XR technologies are, what they are used for and what devices are necessary for their correct visualization. In addition, examples of how the business objectives set can be achieved thanks to the use of XR technologies were also addressed. They are success stories such as Sonovisión, Cidaut or Navantia.
The event was attended by both the private and public sectors, showing great interest in XR technologies. And especially for ARSOFT's EYEFLOW platform. A solution that helps companies straightforwardly create content to digitize processes through Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality technologies. It is also a way to invest sustainably in these technologies through a unique platform in the market that saves more than 90% of costs and time in creating Virtual, Augmented, and Mixed Reality content.
The seminar on applying XR technologies in the industry in a sustainable way also became an opportunity for attendees to experiment with this type of technology and, at the same time, check what they knew about them. At the end of the session, the ARSOFT technicians completed a short questionnaire through the Klaxoon platform. The result was a complete success. The vast majority of those who attended that event showed that they were clear about aspects such as the advantages of VR training compared to traditional training, the differentiation between augmented, virtual and mixed reality, or what the metaverse concept consists of.
Acts like the one developed at the School of Industrial Engineering of the University of Vigo show that more and more people are interested in Augmented, Virtual, and Mixed Reality technologies. They are technologies that are already very present in our lives, and that is why we must know how to use them.
At ARSOFT we help you understand how to apply these technologies in your company, minimizing investment, maximizing impact, and with a sustainable implementation plan.
