On June 23, after 3 years of development, we presented our NextMED solution, developed with the collaboration and funding of the European Union by the University of Salamanca, the VisualMED System Research Group and ARSOFT, with the participation of Grupo Álava.
NextMED allows you to upload medical images as DICOM files, and once uploaded the system will automatically segment the images and create a 3D model autonomously of the anatomical structure that we have selected. With the 3D model created, the professional will be able to study and manipulate medical images with an Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality platform.
NextMED is presented as an industrialized solution prepared for day-to-day use in hospitals without the need for investment in hardware, thus bringing Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality closer to medical professionals.
With NextMED we want to change the way physicians work with medical images to take advantage of the latest 3D visualization technologies.
